STARTREK 2004
Based at 2nd Daventry Scout Group H.Q.
Saturday 9th October.
Was Around Farthingstone
The 2004 StarTrek Route
9.11km
Route uses footpaths, bridleways and minor roads. Most paths are through arable fields, many with large "Set-Aside" grass areas.  Only one field was found to contain sheep.  The route was re-arranged to avoid a field containing ponies.
There was a very good vehicle track between Base One and Base Two but access was either through a gate from Snorscomb Farm (private) (from Everdon) or from the road near Base Seven through a locked gate down a good concrete track.  We endeavoured to get permission for one of these access points.
Also Base Six could be reached by a farm track from the road out of Farthingstone but the last section was only advisable for 4x4s. Access from the road was through a shut but not locked gate.
Base Five needed permission as the base was suggested to be inside field, clearly not used as no gate.
Multiple Start Points
Bases One & Two, if possible, Crossroads, Three, Four, Five, Six if possible, Seven & Eight.

No incidents of note at this event.
