Voluntary Communications support for the emergency services.
Primarily, County Emergency Planning officer, Red Cross, St John Ambulance

International Waendel Weekend
May10th & 11th

All routes started and finished at The Castle,Castle Way, Wellingborough,
Routes of 15km,25km, & 42km on both days which started at 07.30hrs all routes were to be finished by 1900hrs.
General
 Adding extra points to map was good.

Saturday,
 No Problems
 TT OK.
 CP at Whiston closed before we got there, at least 8 walkers still out.

Sunday
 TT Out of range for most of course, new location needed  need to keep 25K channels on TT
 Not enough operators for sweep. Need 4 plus control in afternoon.
 CP at Lilacs closed before we got there.
 CP at the Bell closed over 30 mins before time, 45 mins before we got there 10-20 competitors still out.
 CPs complained of no Waterwagon/ Rubbish pickup

Dave G6 EGO used his young A.T.C. Cadets also Phill-2E1IIQ,Allan-M3BSI,
who are joining Raynet to use the event as a training exercise for radio operations.
With them using their frequency and us on ours, useing G6EGO as a link to us

Reception Centre Exercise

EXERCISE CENTRIC

Scenario

1. At approximately 0945 hours this morning a London bound passenger train has been in a collision with a freight train carrying an unknow chemical just of grange farm Northampton.
2. The Fire & Rescue Service Decontamination unit are looking after survivors from the incident.
3. the police have cordoned off a 200 meter exclusion zone around the area due to chemicals being present and asking residents within the exclusion area to evacuate their premises

This was A joint exercise with Mid Northants Raynet Group

Starting at The Fords Sports and Social Club in Daventry at 11:00
With radio coverage in the 1st aid vehicle every eventuality was covered.
